INFLAMMATION – Let’s break it down.
✅ Good inflammation:
  • When you have an acute injury such as a cut or a fracture (broken bone)
  • Your body’s immune system kicks in to repair injury through inflammation and healing
  • Inflammation post injury is good for you (aids in healing)

❌ Bad inflammation:
  • Due to repetitive micro injuries or autoimmune conditions (Rheumatoid Arthritis)
  • Hyperinflammatory medical conditions such as Diabetes or Hypothyroid can cause your body to overreact and cause persistent pain/inflammation
  • Inflammation (that is out of control) without an injury is bad for you and can cause further damage and lead to chronic pain over time.

In these situations medical care can help to treat and lower the inflammation and provide instructions to avoid repetitive injury and allow the body to heal. We modulate each of these conditions to provide optimal recovery for our patients.
